Crawford cable brake device is a safety mechanism mounted at the bottom corners of a sectional overhead door. Its job is simple but critical:

If a lifting cable snaps or loses tension, the device instantly locks into the track and prevents the door from falling.

It’s a mandatory safety component on industrial doors under EN 13241.
