GAPOSA BRAKE. All models available.
A Gaposa brake performs two critical safety functions:
- Supports the shutter shaft (acts as a bearing)
- Stops the shutter from free‑falling if the motor, chainwheel, or shaft fails
This is mandatory on non‑spring‑balanced shutters and fire shutters.
Gaposa brakes use a centrifugal arrest mechanism: if the shaft accelerates beyond a safe RPM, the brake locks instantly.
